A part the Pico Streetscape improvement project, Lights Overhead by artist Sheila Klein Incorporated sculptural lighting and painted surfaces and was inspired by the architecture and arcades of the early beach hotels in Santa Monica. Trees of light transform the underpass into a sparkling demarcation gateway between Santa Monica and Los Angeles.
