A commission by international Blackstone Group to add an artistic detail to the entry of their trendy new London Hotel in West Hollywood: Artist Charles Fine created, Pattern Language, stunning site-specific bronze gates combining his bronze sculpture based on organic materials—leaves, rocks, roots—with the English-themed architecture. Using the membrane of leaves enlarged to reference the tracery of stained glass windows in Gothic cathedrals, the doors greet visitors to this high profile hotel adjacent to the Sunset Strip, center of the pop music world.
